The 2025 Land Rover Defender continues to be a legendary off-roader with a touch of modern luxury. The exterior stays true to its iconic form, but a special Sedona Edition in fiery red paint, black accents, and 22-inch wheels adds a touch of desert flair.
It keeps its engine options familiar, adventurers can pick between a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 296 horsepower, a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with mild-hybrid assist pushing 395 horsepower, or a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 pumping out 493 horsepower (with a possible 518-horsepower variant). Buckle up for even more muscle – the ultimate “Defender Octa” hits the scene in July, wielding a twin-turbo V8 expected to unleash over 600 horsepower. All engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and 4WD and locking differentials come standard across the lineup.
The Defender offers interior upgrade packs. Choose the Convenience and Comfort pack for ambient lighting, a Meridian sound system, and a front console fridge. For ultimate luxury, the Premium Upgrade pack adds extensive leather and memory-function heated/cooled seats.
