The Jiyue 07 is a brand new electric sedan from China, joint venture between Geely, a well-established car manufacturer, and Baidu, a Chinese tech giant known for its expertise in artificial intelligence.
This car is a four-door medium-sized pure electric sedan and built based on Geely’s SEA platform, with a size of 4953/1989/1475 mm and a 3013 mm wheelbase, boasts a sleek and aerodynamic design. It features a closed front grille signifying its EV identity, with Y-shaped headlights adding a touch of futuristic flair. The fastback design with a smooth contour and hidden door handles contributes to a drag coefficient of 0.198Cd, enhancing its efficiency. The elongated taillights echo the design of the headlights, and a retractable rear wing adds a sporty touch.
The Jiyue 07 will be available in single-motor and dual-motor versions:
- The single-motor version will come with two battery options: lithium iron phosphate from SVOLT and ternary lithium from the CATL-Geely JV; and the maxium power of the electric motor will be 200 kW.
- The dual-motor version will be equipped with a ternary lithium battery; and the front and rear motor will each output 200 kW.
It gets techy with Baidu’s help. Cameras and radars point to a full suite of driver aids, while dual lidars hint at a future with advanced self-driving features. Voice commands get a boost with next-gen AI, and a big touchscreen keeps everything under your control.
