The Chery iCar V23 is a new compact electric SUV that just debuted in China in April 2024. It’s the second production model for the iCar brand, following the iCar 03.

This is the first car from a collaboration between Chery and Zhimi Technology, a subsidiary of smartphone giant Xiaomi. They plan on making six to eight more electric vehicles together in the next few years.
The iCar V23 has a rugged design . It has a boxy shape, round headlights, and a high ground clearance for tackling tough terrain.
It comes in two options:
- Single-motor rear-wheel drive.
- Dual-motor all-wheel drive.
Battery range is estimated to be over 400km for AWD and over 500km for RWD. The battery comes from CATL, a major Chinese battery supplier.
The car will likely have some technological features due to Xiaomi’s involvement, but specifics haven’t been revealed yet. The iCar V23 is expected to be officially unveiled on April 12, 2024 and launched for sale in China sometime in the second half of 2024. There’s no information yet on international availability.
