The Mercedes-Benz EQS will get a mid-cycle refresh for 2025. While not a complete overhaul, the facelift brings some interesting changes, focusing on refined looks, increased range, and improved technology.
The most noticeable update of EQS is at the front fascia. The EQS ditches the black panel with a central star emblem for a more traditional grille design.
The 2025 EQS boasts a larger battery pack option, bumping capacity from 108.4 kWh to 118 kWh. It increases of up to 51 miles (82 km) on the WLTP. Mercedes has also improved the car’s energy recuperation system through software updates on the regenerative braking. This allows the EQS to recapture more energy when slowing down, further enhancing efficiency.
The popular Hyperscreen, a massive curved display that stretches across the dashboard, remains standard for the 2025 EQS. However, the system is expected to receive software upgrades for improved functionality and responsiveness. New features might include additional driver assistance options or a more intuitive infotainment interface.
The 2025 EQS facelift offers a compelling package for luxury EV enthusiasts. It combines a classier design with a potentially longer range and promises advancements in onboard technology.
