The 2025 BMW i4 and 4 Series Gran Coupe are a pair of stylish sportback offerings from BMW, one electric and one gas-powered.
Both models get a revised front fascia with restyled headlights and taillights. The controversial kidney grille gets a slight redesign, with the i4’s upper section closed off due to reduced cooling needs.Laser taillights add a touch of futuristic flair for both models.
The biggest interior update is the new iDrive 8.5 infotainment system featuring a curved dual-screen layout with a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
For the 2025 BMW i4 Updates: There are rumors of a new i4 xDrive40 model with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup offering 295 kW (around 394 hp) and a WLTP range of 444-548 km. The existing i4 variants – eDrive35, eDrive40, and M50 – likely carry over with no major changes in terms of horsepower or range.
Whereas the gas-powered 4 Series Gran Coupe gets a powertrain upgrade with the addition of a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This system boosts efficiency and offers a slight bump in power for the 430i variant. The M440i Gran Coupe also receives a power bump thanks to the mild-hybrid system, reaching 386 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque, up from the previous 382 hp. Both the 430i (2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder) and M440i (3.0L turbocharged inline-six) engines are expected to remain with the addition of the mild-hybrid system.
