Attention eco-drivers in Germany! The wait is over – you can now order the all-new Opel Mokka Hybrid. This exciting option pairs a fuel-efficient electric motor with the existing peppy gasoline engine, offering greener miles without burning a hole in your wallet.
The Opel Mokka expands its powertrain options with a mild hybrid system. This new configuration pairs a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, delivering 134 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque, with a 28 horsepower electric motor integrated within the six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The electric motor is supported by a small 48-volt lithium-ion battery that replenishes during deceleration.
This hybrid setup aims to reduce fuel consumption by up to 20%, potentially reaching a WLTP combined cycle figure of 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers (approximately 48 miles per gallon).
The hybrid starts at $34,484 USD, a tad more than the base gasoline model at $28,694 USD. It’s a much more affordable option compared to the fully electric Mokka, which starts at a steeper $44,095 USD.
