Acura finally listened to driver complaints and tossed out the frustrating True Touchpad Interface. In its place comes a user-friendly infotainment system with a large 12.3-inch touchscreen. Google is built right in, giving you access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store for seamless navigation and entertainment. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included, so you can connect your phone no matter the brand.
The 2025 Acura MDX comes with two powertrain options:
- The base model sticks with the tried-and-true 3.5-liter V6 offering 290 horsepower and optional all-wheel drive.
- For those seeking more excitement, the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 in the MDX Type S packs 355 horsepower and standard all-wheel drive
Both engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. While the underlying powertrains are familiar, Acura promises sportier styling for the 2025 MDX.
Specific details on the exterior design refresh haven’t been revealed yet, but expect a more aggressive look that complements the enhanced performance. The 2025 MDX and MDX Type S are expected to hit U.S. dealerships next month (May 2024).
