The ever-popular Geely Panda Mini EV has a new, sporty sibling: the Go-Kart Edition. Launched in China on May 9th, 2024, with a pre-sale price tag of around $6,800 USD.
The Geely Panda Mini EV – Go Kart Edition is a compact car with dimensions of 3150 mm (length), 1540 mm (width), and 1685 mm (height). The wheelbase, which is the distance between the center of the front wheels and the center of the rear wheels, measures 2015 mm and runs on 14-inch color-block rims. The Go-Kart Edition keeps the same boxy shape as the original Panda Mini EV, but adds a super cool spoiler on the back.
It keeps the 17.03 kWh battery pack and the 40-hp (30 kW) electric motor of the standard model, offering a range of up to 200 km under CLTC protocols. Under fast charging, the battery can replenish from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes.
The quirky, square design remains, offering seating for four. The interior layout stays familiar as well, featuring an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster, configurations such as wireless screen projection from mobile phones, remote control (i.e. air conditioner, trunk access), remote vehicle status inquiry, voice control, and navigation are offered. Additionally, after the rear seats are folded down, the trunk storage capacity can be increased to 800 L.
